Marriott singer and DJ Joe Marriott, who died in May at the age of 91, had been battling liver cancer since 2007, according to TMZ.

Marriott had previously been battling the disease for three years.

The singer had just announced a new EP called “Dance Monkeys” and had also been on tour with a new band, Dance Monkey.

The “Dancing Monkeys,” which are based out of New Orleans, had also released a new single titled “The Dance.”

“Danced Monkeys’ new single, ‘The Dance,’ is out today via their new label, the label of Marriott’s longtime manager, Steve Lipsky.
